- A lot of eggs! (at least two dozen. I ate 3 a day)
- Turkey and Canadian bacon
- Sugar free Jell-O
- Lettuce & whatever else you want in your salads (buy enough for the week)
- Salad dressing (balsamic vinaigrette is good)
- Veggies (no carrots) (broccoli & zucchini are good)
- Chicken breasts and whatever other meat you like (spam doesn't count as meat, not even low-sodium spam)
- Nuts (for snacks)
- Low fat string cheese & shredded cheese (I use it on my salads)
- Part-skim ricotta cheese
- Splenda or other sugar substitute
give them all away so you can start with a clean slate and you won't be tempted to cheat.
the best way to modify your behavior is to change your environment first.
in fact whatever diet you want to follow, be sure that none of the bad foods in the list are inside your home.

maka unsa diay carrots pat? do you have a day that you are allowed to eat anything?-normita
carrots are very starchy. i can only eat them when i reach my goal weight, and only occasionally.
no, i don't have a day when i can eat "normally." but then again, normal for me now means the way i've been eating since i started the diet. =) i don't really mind anymore.
i have been eating some on your list pat. like a lot of eggs.. i eat two in the morning. just that and coffee. three dozens for 15 days.
chicken breast is a go for me. i think my diet is not south beath, it is just less carbs more protein, veggies and fruits.. the veggies any kind, fruits too. just no rice, no pork no beef. i have a south beach diet book.. di nako kaya to give up some of my veggies.
you've always been a healthy eater mai! i admire your discipline. i can only do this because i have a goal to achieve. the maintenance phase might be difficult for me.
i hope you won't be so obsessed about it like i am. i sometimes think i am anorexic already because i am scared of eating. gamay lang na kaon, i tend to excercise heavily it is like punishing na myself.
but you are doing very good. i'll give T a list of the good food and bad food sa book
i try not to be too obsessed. actually i find it a bit kapoy because i have to make all these conscious choices about what i eat all the time. and i don't ever let myself cheat. ever. sometimes i may overeat, like when i'm really tired, and that's when i punish myself by working out harder. or eating less the next day. or going back to phase one for a few days again.
